Location - Indonesia & Papua New Guinea: widespread; Maluku: W. Seram: Ora Mts.
Sea-level - 2000m
Epithet - after Hugo Zoller, leader of the first expedition to the Finisterre Mountains, New Guinea, in 1891.

Originally collected by van Steenis in 1955 in the Wissel Lakes area of W. New Guinea, this clone was exhibited by Kew in 1973 as 'Decimus' and given an Award of Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.

The clone 'Island Sunset' was raised by Don Stanton from seed collected on Goodenough Island, off the east coast of Papua New Guinea, and was registered in 1972.

The plant pictured was collected by Hansjorg Brentel in the Baliem Valley, near Wamena, in West New Guinea.

Epithet - after Heinrich Zollinger, 1818-1859, Swiss botanist who collected this species.
